Purchase and sale of securities other than shares and
convertible debentures of an Indian Company by a person resident outside
India
Under the Portfolio Investment Scheme, an NRI may purchase/sell shares and /or convertible debentures of an Indian company, through a registered broker on a recognized stock exchange by designating a bank branch subject to certain conditions.

or State Legislature, a proprietorship concern or a firm out of rupee funds
which do not represent inward remittances or transfer from NRE/FCNR(B) Accounts
into the NRO Account.
